Natalya Neidhart doesn't mind being part of the "dessert."
The guys might be the meat and potatoes of pro wrestling, but the women - the divas - are plenty tough, too, she said, as fans will see at the Smackdown/ECW show tomorrow night at the Wachovia Center.
The self-styled "submission technician," who came back after once suffering a ripped ACL in Japan, recently made another diva pass out in England, she said.
Divas don't whack each with folding chairs any more, as pro wrestling has evolved into more family-oriented entertainment, but hair-pulling and body slams are still in the repertoire - when the spirit so moves, Neidhart said.
"You put 20 divas in a lockerroom and you'll see how they get along," she said.
Headlining the Smackdown half of the 6:45 p.m. double-header will the Undertaker defending his World Heavyweight Championship belt against CM Punk and Batiste. Fittingly, Undertaker won his last title bout at the Hell in the Cell, a month ago in Newark.
The card is expected to include the likes of reigning ECW champ Christian, Tommy Dreamer, Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, John Morrison, Cryme Tyme and Smackdown's diva champ, Michelle McCool.
"Philadelphia is one of our favorite places to wrestle," said Neidhart, who'll be in action, too. ". . . They're probably some of the most passionate fans in the whole world."
Dreamer's a local favorite, because he played a good guy with Extreme Championship Wrestling when it began in South Philadelphia in 1990s.
Tickets, from $15 to $75, are available through the Wachovia Center box office, www.comcasttix.com, some Acme Markets, or ComcastTix's phone line, 1-800-298-4200.
