West Berlin man killed in I-676 crash

A West Berlin man was killed this morning after his car swerved on northbound I-676 near Camden, striking a box truck and the guardrail.

Justin Robillard, 31, was thrown from his Nissan Altima from the impact with the rail. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His brother Joshua, 36, also of West Berlin, was a passenger and was taken to Cooper University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, a state police spokesman said.

Joshua Robillard told police that a vehicle cut them off, causing the Altima in the center lane to lose control just before 9:30 a.m. The car hit the truck, struck the rail, and hit the truck again, then also throwing Joshua out of the car.

The truck driver, Pavlo Vidyaev, 26, and a passenger Lance Kaplan, 25, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., were uninjured, police said.

The accident, near the I-676 Collings Avenue exit, shut the northbound lanes headed toward Camden from Gloucester City for about three hours.

In a pregame talk last night, Flyers coach John Stevens told his players: Good teams don't lose two in a row.

But that's just what happened as the Flyers dropped a 3-1 decision to the Phoenix Coyotes in front of a sparse crowd at the Jobing.com Arena.
