Fatality suspends Atlantic City rail line service

Service on New Jersey Transit's Atlantic City rail line has been suspended as authorities investigate the death of a trespasser who was struck by a train about 4:30 p.m. tonight just east of the Lindenwold station.

The line runs between 30th Street Station in Philadelphia and the Atlantic City rail station.

Joe Dee, a New Jersey Transit spokesman, strongly suggested that evening commuters find alternative transportation.

"Patco is cross-honoring and will take our customers with our tickets on their trains," Dee said.
