Remember "I'm Back," Terrell Owen's obnoxious rap about signing with the Dallas Cowboys?
"I am back with a vengeance. I am back with a mission. ... Got the whole world's undivided attention," the ex-Eagles receiver boasted in 2006.
Well, tonight he's back, too.
Back on ABC's The Superstars at 8 p.m.
Even though he got kicked off last week, after looking like a fool getting his feet ensnarled in the obstacle course's cargo net.
His partner, supermodel Joanna Krupa, caused the biggest stir, though, with her profanity-laced caustic comments:
"I don't want a teammate like that!" she said. "Calls himself an athlete? What does he get a million dollars for?"
"So cocky? For what? You got in the NFL?" she added later.
Owens, who seemed to try to be a gentleman, did get in the final jab, remarking, as they walked off the show, "I feel really bad for your boyfriend. I feel really bad for him."
Like them or not, they were clearly the most interesting part of the show.
Not that ratings had anything to do with their return, as far as ABC will admit.
The pretext: Tennis star Jennifer Capriati got hurt, so following Superstars tradition, the last competitor eliminated gets another shot.
Tonight, apparently, T.O. loses his nice-guy act.
After astonished athlete-celebrity duos - like Jeff Kent and "Doritos girl" Ali Landry - find out about the resurrection, Owens will start taunting and flaunting, according to a "sneak peek" video.
He guffaws as basketball's Robert Horry messes up a long jump in a pool.
Krupa continues to unleash her tongue as well.
"He thinks he's God. That's a problem," she says on another video.
But Krupa's no cupcake, Warren Sapp, the former defensive lineman who's one of the announcers, told Yahoo Sports.
"This is a maneater, buddy," he said. ". . . She's a nightmare. She treated him like he was her child. She's crazier than any athlete I've ever seen."
Owens deserves a lot of blame, too, she said.
"Let's get that . . . straight," she said, using an expletive. "He was late every time he had a call time. He was 30 minutes late. . . . Every time we were off camera, he was taking off his shirt, so we could all look at him. He had his bodyguard and assistant with him the whole shoot. There was a point where he threatened he was gonna leave the show if he couldn't wear his hat with his website on it. There was a lot going on that people didn't see on the show."
Like T.O. flirting with Landy, she said.
Uh, what was ABC thinking not showing more of that?
Tonight, expect the real competition to heat up - the one for viewers.
