Public asked to ID man on life-support

Police are still looking for leads as to the identity of an accident victim on life-support at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Police are still looking for leads as to the identity of an accident victim on life-support at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

On the afternoon of Oct. 1, he was struck by a bus at Second and Market Streets.

Sgt. Ray Evers of the Public Affairs Unit said authorities are hoping relatives will recognize the man's photo and contact police or the hospital. The victim remains in extremely critical condition, Evers said.

He's described as a white male, 45 to 55 years old, about 5-foot-10 to 6-foot, salt-and-pepper hair, salt-and-pepper goatee and mustache, small discoloration mark on right forearm, and no tattoos.

So far, the few leads police have received have failed to check out.

One woman, who believed the man looked exactly like her ex-husband, was taken to the hospital by police, but it wasn't him, she told the Inquirer.

If you have information about his identity, contact the Accident Investigations Division at 215-685-3180.
