Man, 19, found shot dead in West Philly

Police are at the scene of a fatal shooting in West Philadelphia.

Shortly before 2 p.m., authorities were called to 59th and Race Streets where they found a 19-year-old man who had been shot in the head and chest inside a home.

He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 2:02 p.m., police said.

The victim's name was not immediately released. Authorities are searching for a suspect and motive.
