120 students report stomach bug at Wayne school

A stomach ailment has sickened more than 120 students at Saint Katherine of Siena School in Wayne, Delaware County, according to a school official.

That’s about one-quarter of the 444 students at the K-8 school.

Officials didn’t have an official diagnosis of the bug, but said they had no plans to close the school. The bug has also impacted other area schools, they said.

The Roman Catholic school has been in operation since 1916.
