Great Valley HS principal and middle school assistant l to retire

   Great Valley High and Middle Schools are in the market for new administrators, as the school board officially accepted the resignations of the retiring high school principal and middle school assistant principal at its meeting Monday night.

Great Valley High School principal John Fidler and Great Valley Middle School assistant principal Anthony Freeman will both retire at the end of the school year.

Fidler's career in the district began in 1972 as a health and physical education teacher at General Wayne Middle School. He took the same job at the high school in 1983, transitioning into administration in 1989 when he became an assistant principal and the athletic director. Fidler has been principal since 1997.

   Freeman came to the district in 1987 as an assistant principal for the high school, then moved to the same position at General Wayne Middle School in 1991.
