Woman, 96, critical after dog attack in East Germantown

A 96-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition after she was mauled by two pit bulls Wednesday afternoon in East Germantown.

Police said the woman was found unresponsive with dog bites to her face, head, and arms about 3:40 p.m. in the 5800 block of Brush Road. Police took her to Einstein Medical Center.

The pit bulls were described as a 3 and 10 years old. There was no further information about whether they were taken by animal-control officers.
