Water main break closes section of Verree Road

A section of Verree Road in Northeast Philadelphia is shut down this morning due to an overnight water main break.

The 12-inch break has caused authorities to close Veree Road between Welsh Road and Pine Hill Avenue.

Repairs are expected to take several hours, and last through the morning rush.

SEPTA bus route 67 is on detour due to the break.
