Police say this woman is suspected of using a young girl she was with in a Kensington nail salon to slide under a table, pull out a purse, then steal a wallet inside.

A woman used a young girl she was with to steal the wallet of a customer in a Kensington nail salon and the act was captured by a surveillance camera, according to Philadelphia police.

The incident occurred about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday inside Magic Nalon Salon on the 3000 block of North Front Street. At the time, a 43-year-old woman was receiving a nail treatment.

During that treatment, a woman with the young girl was sitting next to the customer that would become their victim.  The woman instructs the child to get down on the floor, and slide the customer's purse from underneath a table.

The woman and child then brazenly spend at least a minute going through the contents of the purse, before the suspect takes the wallet, which contained the victim’s ID and credit cards.

The suspect took the wallet from the child and placed it into a bag. The pair then left the salon in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white, Hispanic woman, about 20, with blond hair. She was wearing a gray shirt and black sweat pants.
