Video: Police seek suspect in sex assault of NoLibs nightclub patron

Philadelphia Police Department

Police are looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting a patron of a Northern Liberties nightclub last month.

Investigators said the victim, a 26-year-old woman, attended Trilogy Nightclub & Hookah Lounge at 601 Spring Garden St. in the early morning hours of May 11.

The woman walked outside when the club closed at 3:30 a.m. and was approached by an unknown man, who offered her a ride home, police said. The man was caught on surveillance video placing his arm around the woman’s waist and guiding her away from the club.

Police said the woman accepted the ride but passed out at some point during the trip. She told detectives she awoke to the man sexually assaulting her in the backseat of the vehicle, which was parked at an unknown location.

The woman was driven home and later taken to Cooper Medical Center for evaluation.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-7-inch to 5-foot-9-inch tall, clean-shaven black male between the ages of 20 and 30 with close-cut hair. He was last seen wearing a red polo shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the suspect or crime is asked to contact the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3252, or to submit an anonymous tip by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477) or texting PPD TIP (773847).
