Upper Dublin High School principal's full apology

Good Afternoon,

A presenter was brought in this morning to address our 11th and 12th grade students. He is both a motivational speaker and life coach, and was invited to address seniors last year who did not participate in community study. Based on the very positive reviews of that gathering, consideration was given to having him meet with a larger group, and thus today's assembly was organized.

There are a number of concerns which have been expressed and noted regarding the presentation itself, as well as the credentials and background of the speaker. Be assured that the education of our students is paramount, and that excellence is the expectation for all lessons delivered. While assemblies and speakers are often quickly forgotten, a strong reminder was served today that careful vetting is a must, and I assure you that it will not happen again.

Thank you for your understanding,

Bob Schultz

Principal, UDHS
