Two men shot on North Philly street

Two men were injured Saturday afternoon during a shooting in North Philadelphia.

Police said gunfire erupted shortly after 2:45 p.m. on the 2300 block of West Diamond Street.

One man, 21, was shot once in the left leg. A second man, 18, was shot once in the left ankle.

Police said a woman driving a red vehicle dropped both victims off at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where they were placed in stable condition. The woman did not remain at the hospital, according to investigators.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the shooting, and no arrests were initially made in connection with the crime.
