Treasurer accused of stealing from N.J. wrestling club

The treasurer of a high school wrestling booster club has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the group.

Gloucester Township police said 44-year-old Sherry Warren, of Sicklerville, is accused of taking about $4,600 from Highland High School's wrestling booster club between December and March.

She allegedly used the funds to pay for personal bills, hotels, car repairs, food and other items.

Booster club members reported the theft to police about a month ago after several checks were returned due to insufficient funds, police said.

Warren turned herself in to face theft charges and is now free after posting 10 percent of $20,000 bail.
