A tour bus caught fire on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Chester County Friday night, shutting down a lane of traffic.

The bus burst into flames shortly after 9:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 at mile marker 307, about eight miles east of the Morgantown exit, according to state police from the Troop T station in Bowmansville.

It wasn't immediately clear how many people were aboard the bus, but no injuries were reported.

All of the occupants were transferred to another vehicle, police said.

The right eastbound lane of the turnpike was closed in the area of the fire until about 12:45 a.m. as crews removed debris.
