Today is Terry Ruggles last day on air, after 38 years as a news broadcaster in Philadelphia, according to NBC10.
He announced in August that he would be retiring by the end of 2012.
Ruggles held a variety of news jobs over the years at the station. Those include: news anchor, reporter, and weather man. He reported on the strike on the World Trade Center, previous Olympics, political conventions, and other major assignments.
He was on the morning anchor team in recent years. But he was moved back to general assignment reporting just before his retirement was announced. His role was gradually reduced, eventually stopping for good today.
