South Jersey woman's death ruled homicide

Police have identified a body found Friday morning by the side of a South Jersey road as that of 25-year-old Joyce Vanderhoff, of Egg Harbor Township. Vanderhoff was murdered, according to investigators.

A passing motorist shortly before 10 a.m. spotted the body on Weymouth Road in Hamilton Township.

The state Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a homicide. It's unclear exactly how Vanderhoff was killed. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a release officials have no further comment on the case at this time.
