Former Vice President Joe Biden will attend the Delaware 87ers' Saturday home game against the Windy City Bulls to support his deceased son’s foundation.

Seven members of the 87ers, the 76ers' D-League team, will wear and auction specialty jerseys to generate awareness and funds for the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children, and Biden will address the crowd during a halftime ceremony.

Joseph “Beau” Biden, a former Delaware attorney general, died May 30, 2015, after a long battle against brain cancer.

The game begins at 7 p.m. and will be played at the Bob Carpenter Center, 631 S. College Avenue in Newark. Tickets start at $14 can be purchased at the center box office, or through, or by calling 302-504-7587. Portions of all sales will be donated to the Beau Biden Foundation.
