Shuttle buses to replace Route 10, 15 trolleys for a week

Shuttle bus service will replace trolleys on Routes 10 and 15 for a week starting on Saturday, SEPTA has announced.

From 12 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 29, shuttle buses will run instead of Route 10 trolleys between 33rd and Market streets and 63rd Street and Malvern Avenue.

Riders heading into Center City can transfer from a bus to a Route 11, 13, 34 or 36 trolley at 33rd and Market. Passengers traveling to West Philadelphia can take one of those trolley lines in Center City, and transfer to a shuttle bus at 33rd and Market.

Buses will run instead of trolleys on the entire Route 15, from Richmond and Westmoreland streets to 63rd Street and Girard Avenue, during the same time period.

The buses are due to Philadelphia Streets Department work, the transit agency said.
