Motive sought in S. Philadelphia shooting

Philadelphia police are investigating the shooting of a 29-year-old man who was wounded in the left thigh and left knee on the 2500 block of South 6th Street around 5 p.m. on Sunday.

A police radio patrol car transported the victim to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.

Police did not immediately identify a motive or a description of the shooter.
