Second suspect arrested in Fairmount robbery of boy, 13

Police have arrested a second 15-year-old suspect in connection with a robbery on North 22nd Street in Fairmount.

Police have made a second arrest in connection with the robbery of a 13-year-old boy in Fairmount.

The alleged assailants, both 15, are also the primary suspects in a number of other recent robberies in the area, police said Saturday.

Investigators initially released surveillance video of four teens wanted in connection with the Feb. 20 attack, which occurred along the 700 block of North 22nd Street.

The teens allegedly walked up behind the 13-year-old victim, grabbed him by his neck, wrestled him to the ground, and stole his iPhone.

In addition to the two suspects in custody, authorities have identified others believed to have been involved in the robbery, police said. They are still working to link the suspects to additional crimes.
