Schwartz: Be thankful for the warm weather this Thursday

Tuesday temperatures are up to 50 degrees as of 3:30 p.m., compared to a high of 43 degrees yesterday. The normal is 53.

Dry weather will continue through Friday, as HIGH pressure builds along the East Coast. Winds off the Atlantic Ocean could bring in some clouds Thanksgiving morning, but otherwise, there will be lots of sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday.

As a cold front approaches Black Friday, the wind will be coming from the southwest, bringing in unseasonably warm air. A couple of places in our area could have high-temperature records threatened.

The cold front will move through early Saturday, with some possible showers, and then colder winds will drop temperatures during the day back into the 40s.

It will be seasonably cool Sunday and Monday, before another warmup Tuesday. Showers are possible Monday, and more likely Tuesday as the warm air moves in again.
