SWAT surrounds Chesco house where gunshot was fired

A Chester County SWAT team has surrounded a Phoenixville house this afternoon after a report of a single gunshot fired inside the residence, according to the county District Attorney.

Others inside the home when the shot was fired have evacuated the house on Continental Drive since the gunshot occurred, Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan said.

County SWAT officers have surrounded the house and are currently holding the scene as of 5 p.m., Hogan said. The condition of the single person left inside the house remains unknown, he said.

No one else has been injured.
