SEPTA, PATCO, N.J. Transit on holiday schedules for Christmas Eve, Christmas day

Public transportation systems in the Philadelphia region are running on holiday schedules for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Here's what you need to know if you're traveling on public transit today and Wednesday:

Getting around on Christmas Eve:

SEPTA
- Modified weekday schedules will be in place. Specific details for modified bus and trolley timetables are on SEPTA's website.

PATCO
- Trains will run on an adjusted schedule.

N.J. Transit
- Early getaway rail service will run on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, M&E/Midtown Direct, Port Jervis and Pascack Valley lines.
- Some bus routes are operating on special holiday schedules. Specific details are available on N.J. Transit's website.

Getting around on Christmas:

SEPTA
- All Regional Rail lines will be running on special schedules. Specific times for each route are listed on SEPTA's website.
- City Transit, Frontier Division, Victory Division and Norristown High Speed Line routes will operate on Sunday schedules.

PATCO
- Trains will run on an adjusted schedule.

N.J. Transit
- Rail service will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule.
- Bus schedules vary by route. Details are posted on the transit system's website.
- The Newark Light Rail and River Line will run on Sunday schedules.
- The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will run on a weekend schedule.
