SEPTA: Injuries reported when garbage truck collides with bus

A garbage truck smashed into the back of a SEPTA bus in Center City on Wednesday afternoon and seven people were taken to area hospitals for reported injuries, SEPTA said.

A garbage truck smashed into the back of a SEPTA bus in Center City on Wednesday afternoon and seven people were taken to area hospitals for reported injuries, SEPTA said.

The truck struck the bus as the SEPTA vehicle was heading south on North Broad Street at Callowhill Street, a transit agency spokeswoman said.

Six passengers reported injuries from the crash that occurred at about 4 p.m. A person in the garbage truck also went the hospital, the SEPTA spokeswoman said.
