Route 202 closed in Bucks after fiery crash

A stretch of Route 202 is shut down in Bucks County due to a serious crash.

Bucks County dispatchers said two cars were involved in an accident on York Road (Route 202) near Byecroft Road shortly before 7:30 a.m. At least one of the vehicles caught fire, dispatchers said.

Route 202 is closed between Holicong and Byecroft roads while authorities investigate the crash.

Initial police radio reports indicated at least one person might have been killed in the accident, though dispatchers said they couldn't immediately confirm those reports.

A coroner was called to the seen of the crash.

Police, fire and medical units also responded.

The circumstances of the crash are being investigated, and authorities expect the road to remain closed for an extended time period.
