Police make arrest in Manayunk rape, robbery

Police have arrested a suspect in a sexual assault and robbery reported Saturday morning in Manayunk.

Investigators said a man around 11:30 a.m. attacked a 32-year-old woman on the 400 block of Seville Street.

He allegedly raped the victim, then robbed her at knifepoint. Police said he made away with the woman's phone, wallet and car keys. 

A 46-year-old man was taken into custody in connection with the crime, according to police. His identity had not yet been released Saturday night, and charges against him were still pending.
