When will it stop?

Yet another woman was assaulted in Kensington late last night and a police task force investigating a series of stranglings and chokings in the area is looking into the case, Lt. Ray Evers, police spokesman said.

The victim, who is in her 40s, went willingly with a man to his truck on Allegheny Avenue near Frankford around 11:45 p.m., police said. Once inside the truck, the woman was physically and sexually assaulted by the man, but Evers declined to say whether or not - like other recent victims - this woman was choked.

"She was grabbed about the body," he said. 'The defenders hands were all over her body. She was grabbed everywhere."

He said police officers who were working a detail in the area spotted the woman upset on the street. A task force which is investigating a series of stranglings and chokings in Kensington and nearby neighborhoods has taken on the case, he said.

"Everything is being included so the task force will look at it and if they deem it is not part of what they are looking at, they will exclude it then," Evers said.

He declined to say whether DNA was taken from the victim. He said the woman described her attacker as a Hispanic man in his 30s or 40s with light skin, a medium build and a goatee.
