Philadelphia police are investigating an alleged road-rage incident involving a school bus that left one student injured Thursday afternoon.

The bus was driving south on the Roosevelt Boulevard, near Levick Street, shortly before 3:15 p.m., when the students on board shouted at a passing vehicle, police said.

The vehicle pulled over, stopping in front of the bus, and two women got out, according to investigators.

One woman allegedly sprayed the front of the bus with mace as the second woman shattered the window behind the driver with a baseball bat, police said.

The suspects then fled while the bus drove a short distance before stopping in front of a nearby school.

A school nurse treated a 15-year-old male student who suffered cuts to his wrists from the flying glass, police said.

No arrests had yet been reported Thursday night.
