A Northeast Philadelphia man is accused of soliciting a sex act from an undercover officer posing as a prostitute while his 5-year-old son slept in the backseat of his car.
Hector Flores-Martinez, 26, was one of four alleged johns arrested Thursday during a Citywide Vice Unit sting along the Kensington Avenue corridor in the 24th Police District.
Police turned Flores-Martinez’s son over to the Department of Human Services.
Also taken into custody Thursday were Marcus Lampkin, 35, and Fabio Garcia, 48, of Philadelphia, along with 52-year-old Thomas Bernat of Jamision, Pa., police said.
All four men are charged with solicitation and patronizing prostitution.
Flores-Martinez, of the 9400 block of Lansford Street, is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest, court documents indicate.
His bail was set at 10 percent of $2,500, and a trial has been scheduled for Aug. 19.
Police said they confiscated four cars, 18 grams of marijuana, and nearly $600 in cash during the sting operation.
