Police: $31K taken in robbery of Juniata Park store

At least $31,000 in cash was stolen Wednesday night during the armed robbery of a check cashing store in Juniata Park, investigators said.

Police said a gunman held up the shop at 1202 E. Hunting Park Ave. shortly before 8:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The suspect stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black jeans, police said. Additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately available.

No arrests had yet been made Wednesday night, according to investigators.
