Pedestrian killed in South Jersey crash
A pedestrian died after being hit by a car Sunday night in South Jersey.
Hamilton Township police said the victim was struck by a 2008 Honda Civic that was driving east on Black Horse Pike near McKee City at about 8:15 p.m.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Civic driver, 58-year-old Caterina Giordano of Waterford, was taken to AtlanticCare Medical Center for injuries that police said weren't life-threatening.
The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information is asked to call police at 609-625-2700, ext. 575.
