One injured in Hunting Park house fire

A house fire in Hunting Park left a person hospitalized Saturday afternoon.

Flames broke out shortly after 4 p.m. at a home on the 4400 block of North Eighth Street, near Cayuga Street, according to the Philadelphia Fire Department.

Medics took one person to Temple University Hospital with unspecified injuries.

The victim's condition was not disclosed, and additional identifying details were not immediately available.

The blaze was brought under control around 4:20 p.m., the fire department said.

Its cause remained under investigation Saturday evening.
