North Philadelphia building burned in three-alarm blaze

Firefighters battled a blaze for nearly an hour Sunday as flames ripped through a North Philadelphia building.

Officials said companies responded around 12:20 p.m. to the fire at North American Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue. A second alarm was struck less than 10 minutes later, followed by a third alarm several minutes after that.

Firefighters brought the flames under control shortly before 1:10 p.m.

Authorities confirmed no injuries were reported. There's not yet word on what led to the fire, or exactly what properties were affected.
