NJ home health aide faces additional charges in theft from patient

A home health-care worker previously accused of stealing jewelry from an elderly patient is now facing charges for allegedly withdrawing funds from his bank account.

Egg Harbor Township police arrested 50-year-old Lisa Johnson, of Sicklerville, last month after an 82-year-old man reported that Johnson -- who was working at his home as a temporary health aide -- and her boyfriend pried a jewelry box open and stole most of its contents.

Investigators issued a new warrant for Johnson this month, after learning that she allegedly used the same victim's Bank of America card to withdraw $2,000 from his account over four transactions in early August, police said.

Police say Johnson and her boyfriend, 26-year-old Justin Brown, of Galloway Township, also pawned the jewelry taken from the victim's home at the Elmwood Estates Mobile Park.
