Man found fatally shot in vehicle in Pottstown

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in Pottstown.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said a 20-year-old man was found shot to death inside a vehicle on the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

The man, whose name was not released because his family is still being notified, had suffered at least one gunshot wound, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

The man's body was found when police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle.
