Man shot to death in Frankford house

Philadelphia police say a man, about 45-years-old, was shot multiple times early this morning inside a home in the city’s Frankford section and later died of the wounds.

The man’s identity was not being released, and police say they are searching for a suspect with a known criminal background.

Someone reported the shooting about 4 a.m. on the 2000 block of Orthodox Street. Police responded and found the victim on the third floor of the rowhouse.

People inside the home were taken in for questioning. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they are still investigating the shooting.
