Man fatally shot in Pottstown


Authorities are investigating a fatal overnight shooting in Pottstown.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said a 22-year-old man was found shot to death inside the King Street Common Apartments, located at 262 King St., just after 12:30 a.m.

The man, whose name was not released because his family hasn't been notified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials are investigating the death as a homicide.

Another man was taken from the apartment to a local hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.

No other details about the incident were immediately released.
