Man shot dead in East Frankford

An unidentified man was fatally shot Tuesday night in the city's East Frankford section.

Police said the victim, described as in his 20s, was shot several times in the head, neck, and chest just after 9 p.m. in the 4800 block of Tackawanna Street. He was taken by medics to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:34 p.m.

Police reported no arrests.
