It'll be hot, but dry today

After a night of downpours, we're in for hot but a rain-free Tuesday.

The National Weather Service said the high will in the mid 90s under partly sunny skies, but it won't be as steamy as it was Sunday and Monday. For that reason, the NWS said it has not issued an excessive heat watch or warning.

There is no rain in the forecast until Thursday, the last day of the Democratic National Convention, when there is a chance of thunderstorms both during the  day and night.

The highs both Wednesday and Thursday will be in the mid 90s.

There also will be a chance of thunderstorms Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the upper 80s.
