'Hurricane' Schwartz: Comfortable weekend forecast
Last weekend was unbearable for many of us, with temperaturas reaching 95 in Philadelphia Sunday. Plus the extra high humidity made it feel like 105 with the Heat Index. This weekend, the Heat Index will barely reach 90 in Phila. and will be much lower at the shore. Now all we need is sunshine and no rain, and it will be ideal weather for most of us.
No Sweat Saturday, a little sweat about Sunday
The unusual July comfort will continue into Saturday. Despite temperatures reaching the upper 80s, the humidity will still be very low for this time of year. Lots of sunshine is expected, with no rain anywhere in our area. Sunday is not as much of a "sure thing". Here is one computer model forecast for Sunday afternoon. This one tends to be on the "wet" side often, so a map this dry is a good sign.
Those are some tiny, isolated showers. The highest chance for rain would be in the Poconos, with the lowest chance at the beaches. Looking good!
