'Hurricane' Schwartz: Warm turkey day

Temperatures are up to 55 so far today, after 43 on Monday and 50 yesterday. The warming trend will continue for the rest of the week. It peaks Friday, with most places getting well into the 60s. Some record highs, like the 73 in Philadelphia, will probably not be broken, but other records, like the 62 in Allentown, have a good chance to happen.

Then a cold front will move through the area Saturday. The latest computer models show the front slowing down or even stalling just south of us, keeping a chance for showers Sunday in some areas, and not allowing temperatures to drop as much as it looked earlier this week.

Weekly forecast:

Tonight: Clear and not as cold. Low of 42 in Philly / 32 north and west.

Thurs: Sun and clouds. Warmer. High of 62.

Fri: Partly sunny and unseasonably warm. High of 67.

Sat: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. High of 57.

Sun: Mostly cloudy with showers, mainly south. High of 53.

Mon: Partly sunny and cool. High of 53.

Tue: Mostly cloudy with showers likely. High of 60.

Wed: Partly sunny and colder. High of 50.
