Girl, 16, shot in Grays Ferry


A 16-year-old girl was shot Thursday evening in the Grays Ferry section of South Philadelphia.

Police said the incident happened shortly before 4:15 p.m. on the 2900 block of Morris Street.

The victim was shot once in the right thigh and rushed to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was placed in stable condition. Police said the injury might have been a graze wound.

There was not yet word on a motive Thursday night, and no arrests had been reported.
