An overnight fire has damaged the Fairmount Park Welcome Center in LOVE Park.

The blaze was reported in the basement of the round "spaceship" building at 16th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard at 3:07 a.m., according to the Philadelphia Fire Department.

The fire was placed under control at 3:30 a.m.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Fire crews reported smoke and water damage throughout the building, but the full extent of the damage wasn't immediately known. Windows were also broken as firefighters battled the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
