An overnight blaze damaged a pancake restaurant in Bala Cynwyd.

Firefighters were called to Flap Jack Family Restaurant at 115 W. City Ave. at around 3 a.m.

Heavy smoke was seen coming from the restaurant's roof area when responders arrived. It took crews about half an hour to control the fire.

No injuries were reported.

It wasn't immediately clear how extensively the restaurant was damaged.

City Avenue was shut down between 51st Street and Bryn Mawr Avenue while firefighters battled the blaze, but reopened shortly after 5 a.m.
