A “stocky” man in his 20s carrying a knapsack of tools was captured on video brazenly breaking into a toll collection machine on the Atlantic City Expressway in Gloucester Township, Camden County, early Tuesday morning, police said.

The thief, clad in a camouflage shirt, spent more than 30 minutes at Exit 41 at Cross Keys Road, ducking and hiding whenever a car drove up. However, he did so in full view of a surveillance camera and his face is clearly visible.

The video, posted by the Gloucester Township Police Department, shows the white male sneaking around the boot near the Wood’s Edge housing development. He puts down his bag of tools and begins trying to open the back of the machine. He was able to steal coins, although the amount was not released.
