Rowan University students nabbed in drug bust

Four Rowan University students were arrested Wednesday after police allegedly found drugs, paraphernalia and cash inside a home near campus.

Police said all of the students were also in possession of “wax,” a potent cannabis concentrate made by using butane to extract THC from pot plants.

Glassboro police around 6:30 a.m. executed a search warrant at the home, located at 416 Victoria St. There, they allegedly found over 50 grams of marijuana, narcotics packaging material, paraphernalia and more than $1,600 in cash.

Two residents of the home – Gregory Faniro and Robert Walz Jr., both 22 – were arrested. Also arrested were Scott Dovery, 22, of Egg Harbor City, and Alec Seaver, 21, of Clark.

All four suspects were charged with possessing over 50 grams of marijuana, possessing controlled dangerous substances within 500 feet of a public building, possessing stolen property, possessing paraphernalia and possession with the intent to distribute.

Bail was set for each student at 10 percent of $7,500.
