DA: Montco teacher sexually abused student, 14

An eighth-grade math teacher at a Montgomery County middle school is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student, officials announced Thursday.

An eighth-grade math teacher at a Montgomery County middle school is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student, officials announced Thursday.

Jessica Streeper, 33, is charged with multiple counts of institutional sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors and related offenses.

Officers with the Norristown Police Department on May 19 received an anonymous report that a teacher at Eisenhower Middle School, in Norristown, was involved in an "inappropriate relationship" with a child who attended the school, according to a news release issued by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

An investigation allegedly revealed that Streeper was having sex with a 14-year-old student from her eighth-grade math class.

Prosecutors said Streeper and the victim began to exchange sexually-charged text messages earlier this school year. Streeper, on several occasions, allegedly picked the victim up from his Norristown home, drove a short distance and engaged in sexual intercourse with the child in her car.

Streeper also had sex with the victim on multiple occasions inside her home in Doylestown, prosecutors said.

Streeper was arraigned Thursday afternoon and jailed at the Montgomery County Prison after being unable to post 10 percent of $100,000 bail. She's next due in court May 30 for a preliminary hearing.
