Cops seek serial bank robber

Authorities are looking for a serial bank robber believed to be responsible for at least five heists in the Philadelphia region.

The most recent robbery happened this morning, when a man demanded money from a bank teller at the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 2560 Huntingdon Pike in Lower Moreland Township.

The man fled on foot after obtaining cash, according to the FBI. The heist happened shortly after 9:30 a.m.

The FBI says the man is believed to also have committed armed robberies at a Sovereign Bank in Cheltenham Township on June 13 and May 28, at another Wells Fargo branch in Northeast Philadelphia on May 23 and at a PNC Bank branch in the Mayfair neighborhood on May 15.

The suspect is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and having a medium build. In this morning's heist, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the word "Nike" and the Nike swoosh logo in black, black sweatpants, black gloves and a white mask or scarf.
